Tuesday football tips

Bet of the day – Barcelona to beat Newcastle United @ 13/10

Expect a cracking atmosphere at St James’ Park on Tuesday night as Newcastle United host Barcelona in the Champions League.

Barca come flying into this match riding a four-game winning streak and following a 1-0 victory at Athletic Bilbao, which has taken the Blaugrana four points clear at the top of the La Liga standings.

Hansi Flick’s side will be brimming with confidence as they face a Newcastle outfit who have lost four of their last six home games in all competitions.

Eddie Howe’s men have already suffered a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Barcelona in the Champions League this season and Barca are attractively priced to secure the win in Tuesday’s first leg.

Bet Builder – Atletico Madrid to win, over 3.5 goals & both teams to score @ 10/3

Amid serious concerns regarding their Premier League status as they linger just above the relegation zone, Tottenham Hotspur face the daunting prospect of a trip to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.

Diego Simeone’s side have been in free-scoring form on their own patch in the Spanish capital, winning all of their last four games in all competitions.

Scoring 15 goals in those matches, Atletico have been ruthless in the final third.

Going for an Atletico win featuring over 3.5 goals and both teams to score would have landed in all of their last three home matches and there’s value to be had in this bet builder for that trend to continue against a Spurs side who are on a five-game losing streak.

Acca –  Bayern Munich to beat Atalanta, Wrexham to beat Hull City & Bristol City to beat Leicester City  @ 197/25

Starting in the Champions League, Bayern Munich are one of the form teams in Europe and they will fancy their chances of winning at Atalanta this week.

The Bavarian giants are currently on a six-game winning streak, while Vincent Kompany’s men have lost just one of their last 19 competitive matches.

Against an Atalanta side who have not won in their last three outings, a Bayern win forms the first part of this threefold acca.

In the Championship, Wrexham are backed to continue their push for promotion with three points against Hull City.

The Tigers are on a two-game losing streak going into their trip to North Wales, while Wrexham are on a three-match winning run in the Championship.

Wrexham should bounce back from their FA Cup heartbreak against Chelsea at the weekend to get back to winning ways here.

Finally, Leicester City’s problems at the bottom end of the Championship can get worse when they host Bristol City on Tuesday night.

The Foxes are currently on an 11-game winless run in all competitions and having lost all of their last four home matches at the King Power Stadium, it’s hard to see Leicester stopping a Robins side who beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in their last away game in the Championship.
