Spurs star Victor Wembanyama on ‘most frustrating’ part of Game 2 loss vs. Thunder

After stealing Game 1 on the road in Oklahoma City, the San Antonio Spurs failed to capitalize on a golden opportunity to take a commanding 2-0 series lead against the Thunder heading back home. Instead, the defending champs responded with an impressive performance to get a 122-113 win anreven things up at one game apiece.

This game was defined by the Thunder’s ability to respond. Time and time again, the Spurs cut into Oklahoma City leads, even tying the game on multiple occasions. However, the Thunder always responded with a run to get the margin back to arm’s length.

After the game, Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama spoke about how frustrating that was in his postgame press conference.

“I would say it’s expending so much energy, catching back up on the score, and letting it get away,” Wembanyama said.
