Spurs’ Mitch Johnson loses his mind after Thunder get beneficial out of bounds call

The San Antonio Spurs are trying to steal another win in enemy territory against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, with each team looking to take a pivotal 3-2 series lead in the Western Conference Finalsa.

Every call counts for both teams, so it was understandable that San Antonio head coach Mitch Johnson had quite an eruption after a whistle that did not go in favor of the Spurs.

After the Thunder got the ball after it seemingly hit Thunder star big man Chet Holmgren before going out of bounds, Johnson went ballistic as he tried to ask for a review. Instead, Johnson was slapped with a technical foul.

Johnson and the Spurs have their backs against the wall through three quarters in Game 5, as they are taking control of the contest.

How the refs are calling the series has also become a big topic among NBA fans, but in any case, the Spurs and the Thunder are playing an entertaining and seemingly physically demanding series to decide which of them will represent the Western Conference in the NBA Finals and face the New York Knicks.

The Spurs took Game 1 of the series in Oklahoma City before dropping the next two. They tied it at 2-2 with a crucial victory at home in Game 4.

Whatever happens in Game 5, there will be at least one more game to be played in San Antonio, where the Spurs can hope for a friendlier whistle.
