Ipswich vs Leicester prediction
Ipswich Town started off their Premier League season well with a close 2-1 win over Sunderland at the weekend.
They now face League One side Leicester City as the two sides just faced off and went in opposite directions last season from the Championship.
Leicester City are now up against it, facing a side emboldened with a huge influx of transfers amounting to around £150million for 12 new players.
And after two games in League One, Leicester City are facing a tough uphill battle already having come away with just one point.
Ipswich vs Leicester betting tips
Town on top
Things are tough for Leicester at the moment and it’s hard to see them stop Ipswich in the form they’re in.
Over the course of the summer they won four friendlies on the bounce in the lead up to the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
Beating the likes of Union Berlin, Le Havre, Wycombe and Rayo Vallecano.
They clearly have a good set up currently with a 2-1 win over Sunderland which was a great reintroduction to the Premier League on Saturday, netting a 90th minute winner via Jack Clarke.
Players to watch
Daizen Maeda is still set to be in the starting lineup despite having 80 minutes on the clock for Ipswich against Sunderland.
With him coming up against Leicester, he’s sure to be up there in getting an attacking return and his first competitive return for the Suffolk side.
He made three appearances for Japan at the World Cup over the summer including netting a goal for his national team.
For Celtic he’s used to netting in the Champions League, and as many as 16 goals in the Premiership in the 2024/25 season.
