Shilo Sanders reveals how much of $2.9million Bucs contract he walked away with amid update on NFL return
Shilo Sanders’ rookie season was over before it started.
The son of Hall-of-Famer Deion Sanders, and brother of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Shilo did not have the best start to his NFL career.

Shilo watched his brother suffer a dramatic slide down the pecking order, but he himself went undrafted.
He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and handed a potentially lucrative contract.
The deal was worth $2.965 million over three years.
It was not guaranteed, however, and he received only a $1,572 signing bonus and $4,380 workout bonus.
The remaining sum would have been paid out if he made the active roster.
Sanders threw a punch at an opponent in a preseason game before being cut well before the regular season.
In an appearance on the ItsKingSlime YouTube channel, Sanders revealed how much he earned in his short stint with the Buccaneers.
“I only got paid like five-thousand, and bro, I didn’t even look at my preseason account,” Sanders said.
The league fined him $4,669 for the punch – roughly 75 percent of his total earnings as a professional football player.
The undrafted rookie then had a tryout with the San Francisco 49ers, but nothing materialized from that.

Shilo Sanders drops hint at NFL future
After the tryout with the 49ers, no other opportunities presented themselves, and he did not return to the field in 2025.
In the same YouTube video, Sanders was asked about his future in the NFL, where he gave a strong indication as to where his head is at.
“We could go and get ready tomorrow if we want to, but I have just been working out as a human,” Sanders added.
“It takes a special kind of guy to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I don’t think there’s any light at the end of my tunnel.”
Sanders’ friends, one of whom was a former Buccaneers teammate, encouraged him to continue to pursue a career in the NFL, to which he had a simple response.
“Lemme tell you something dawg. Just because you got love for the game, doesn’t mean the game gotta love you back, and remember that man,” he said.

It was a good question proposed to Shilo, but it doesn’t sound like he is all that hopeful of an NFL return.
His career NFL earnings are going to stall out at just over $5,000, all because of a preseason punch that may have ended his NFL career for good.
