Sam Presti delivers powerful tribute after Russell Westbrook’s retirement

Russell Westbrook’s legendary NBA career has officially come to an end, and Oklahoma City Thunder executive Sam Presti made sure his former superstar received the tribute he deserved.

His relentless style helped redefine what was possible from the point guard position. Westbrook attacked every possession with seemingly unlimited energy, eventually becoming the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double for an entire season. Nobody will ever forget what he brought to the table each and every night.

Westbrook became the face of the Thunder and remained committed to the franchise after Kevin Durant’s departure. His loyalty and MVP-caliber performances created a permanent connection with the city.

Presti believes that impact will continue well beyond basketball.

Westbrook leaves the NBA as a former MVP, nine-time All-Star and one of the greatest point guards of all time.
