Real Madrid star hospitalised after second training ground fight as emergency meeting called

Real Madrid star Federico Valverde had to be taken to hospital after a second serious bust-up with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.

Reports from Spain suggest that the Uruguay captain continued his row with the French midfielder and ended up needing urgent medical attention.

The incident stemmed from Wednesday after a foul during a drill at the club’s training ground, with a heated exchange taking place.

And Thursday’s incident is reportedly much worse as Valverde refused to shake Tchouameni’s hand following the altercation earlier in the week.

By the end of Thursday’s session, the two midfielders clashed again in the club’s main building with Valverde being taken to hospital.

Spanish TV station El Chiringuito claims that under-fire head coach Alvaro Arbeloa went with Valverde, who needed stitches following the latest coming together with Tchouameni.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have called an emergency meeting to discuss possible action, according to Marca.

Everything seems to be falling apart for Real Madrid both on and off the pitch.

Los Blancos are 11 points behind league leaders and rivals Barcelona with four games to play – and Barca could clinch the title when they face Madrid this weekend.

The ongoing situation with star striker Kylian Mbappe also threatens to completely derail the club’s season.

Mbappe leads the scoring charts in La Liga with 24 goals to his name, but a number of the France forward’s teammates have become disillusioned with the former PSG man’s behaviour.

Mbappe was pictured enjoying time off with his girlfriend on a yacht in recent days while recovering from injury.

French football expert Julien Laurens explained the situation in detail on Hawksbee & Baker on Wednesday afternoon.

“The club said yes he could go away. He went away with his girlfriend. He was injured. He was doing his rehab. I get it,” Laurens began.

“Where I think he could have been a bit smarter is… he arrived like 12 minutes before Real Madrid kicked off their game that he was not going to play because he was injured. Arrive earlier.

“Make sure that you’re in the stadium. Make sure that you are with the team, that you committed. You’re the the face of this project, the face of the club right now.

“Yes you’ve done well on the pitch – 41 goals in 41 games in all competitions – but you haven’t won anything this season again and there’s a lot of talk about your place in this team and your role and everything.

“Make sure that on those levels there’s nothing to reproach you. Yes you can go away for your days off. We all do it but at least be a bit smarter in how you behave.”

Meanwhile, a fan-led petition to boot Mbappe out of the club has garnered more than 30million signatures online.

Tchouameni future in doubt

It also remains to be seen how the latest incident involving Valverde will impact Tchouameni’s future in Spain.

The France star has been a regular for Real Madrid this season, starting 28 of 34 league matches.

However, the former Monaco man has been linked with a summer exit, with Premier League side Manchester United believed to have included Tchouameni on their midfield wishlist.

Real Madrid are supposedly prepared to sanction the 26-year-old’s exit provided a replacement can be brought in.

Manchester City star Rodri and Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez have both been linked with a high-profile switch to the Bernabeu.

Conversely, both City and Chelsea are looking to tie their respective midfielders down to new deals to ward off interest from Real Madrid.
