For the second consecutive series, the Detroit Pistons have forced a decisive Game 7. Their 115-94 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Rocket Arena ensured that once again, they’ll have a chance to advance in the NBA Playoffs in front of their home fans in the Motor City.

And it was a clutch performance from Jalen Duren, who was benched during the final 17 minutes of their Game 5 loss in Detroit, who helped make the win possible. Duren scored 15 points and added 11 rebounds while shooting an impressive 70 percent from the field in 27 minutes of action. He was particularly strong during a seven-minute stretch in the fourth quarter in which he scored six points while grabbing four rebounds.

Afterward, teammate Cade Cunningham was sure to compliment Duren’s performance and his “aggression”.

“Thought his aggression was great,” Cunningham said via Hunter Patterson on X, formerly known as Twitter. “When he had the ball, when he didn’t have the ball going and rebounding outside of his area. He did a lot of great things tonight. He really set the tone.”

Meanwhile, despite his struggles, Duren said that his confidence in his abilities never left.

“My confidence never wavered in myself. I know what I can do. I know what I can be and try to keep it rolling,” Duren said via Fox Sports. “I’m playing my best basketball when I’m being assertive and picking my spots. I think early on I was just getting a groove.”

Game 7 between the Pistons and Cavaliers will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET in Detroit on Sunday evening.
