Patriots’ AJ Brown appears to ignore ex-Eagles teammates after practice

AJ Brown’s time with the Philadelphia Eagles came to an end in the summer, and he wants to keep it that way.

As he walked out for a joint practice with the New England Patriots on Wednesday, many noticed what looked like him ignoring his former teammates.

In a video shared by Jimmy Kempski, Eagles writer for The PhillyVoice, on X, formerly Twitter, Brown ignored his ex-Eagles teammates. However, watching closely, it seemed like he wanted to shake hands or something, but a slight hesitation gave away a little too much for social media critics.

On top of that, there was another instance when he was asked about his Eagles exit. The superstar wide receiver declined to go into any further detail and did not add much to the conversation regarding his former team.

“It’s not about no closure or anything. It’s love. I won a Super Bowl ring with them. It’ll always be love, no matter how anyone feels. I love Philly, and I’ll always love Philly. But I’m here now,” he said when asked by Zach Berman of The Athletic.

He won one Super Bowl in 2024 out of the two Super Bowls he was a part of. He was one of the most phenomenal wide receivers for the franchise.

But after his trade to the Patriots, he has hardly dwelled on his past achievements. During his stint with the Eagles, Brown recorded 339 receptions for 5,034 yards and 32 touchdowns while featuring in 62 regular-season games. He also won the Super Bowl LIX.

Now with the Patriots, there are high hopes that he will bring back the same glory to his new franchise.
