One-cap England international and triple promotion star named on Wrexham released list
Jay Rodriguez will leave Wrexham this summer having been included on their released list for 2026.
The 36-year-old forward, who has made 258 appearances in the Premier League, joined the Welsh club from Burnley in January 2025.

Rodriguez was part of the squad that finished as runners-up in League One last season and won promotion to the Championship.
However, he played just 36 minutes of football across eight matches in the 2025/26 campaign amid ankle injury struggles.
Which players have Wrexham released?
Wrexham have announced their retained/released list, confirming that one-cap England international Rodriguez is leaving.
“The following players, who are out of contract, will not be offered new deals,” the club said.
“They are released with the Club’s sincere thanks for their efforts and contributions during their time at the Football Club.”
Callum Edwards, Reuben Egan, Tom Kelly and Max Purvis have also been included, as well as Andy Cannon.
Cannon joined Wrexham from Hull City in December 2022 when they were in the National League.
The midfielder made 16 appearances en route to their title win, which ended their 15-year wait to return to the English Football League.
Cannon featured 35 times for them in League Two as they finished in second, earning them back-to-back promotions.
The 30-year-old then played 24 matches in League One as Wrexham ended the 2024/25 campaign as runners-up to Birmingham City.

It means Cannon played a key role in the club’s astounding rise up the English football pyramid to the Championship.
A anterior cruciate ligament injury meant he did not for Wrexham in the season just gone, but he did have a loan spell at Burton Albion.
Wrexham just miss out on the play-offs
After three consecutive promotions, Wrexham had their eyes set on a fourth and a spot in the Premier League.
However, they missed the opportunity to reach the top flight as they finished seventh in the Championship.
Wrexham were just two points off the play-offs having failed to win their last two matches of the season.
They lost 3-1 at champions Coventry City and then drew 2-2 at home with Middlesbrough on the final day.
