OG Anunoby comes up limp with leg injury late vs. 76ers

The New York Knicks are now up 2-0 over the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals with a 108-102 win on Wednesday. However, just when they were about to seal the deal, one of their own went down.

OG Anunoby exited the game after he was seen limping on a play, per Vincent Goodwill of ESPN. With 3:08 left in the game and the Knicks leading 103-99, Anunoby went down to the blocks and made a bad step. He started to limp as he got back into position. Eventually, he got the ball, drove to the hoop, but missed a dunk.

The ball found its way into the hands of Miles Bridges, who hit a jumper to put the Knicks up 105-99. Afterward, Anunody took himself out of the game.

As of now, we are still awaiting his injury status. It wasn’t the only injury that afflicted the Knicks. In the third quarter, Josh Hart injured his wrist and left the game. However, he came back and finished, but will undergo further testing.

Anunoby finished the game with 24 points, five rebounds, and four steals, as well as going 9-for-17 from the field. Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 26 points. Hart finished with 5 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

So far, Anunoby has been one of New York’s best players in this postseason. He is averaging 21.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. In Game 1 against the 76ers, he was 7-for-8 from the field to finish with 18 points in a 137-98 win.

Game 3 will be at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Friday at 7:00 pm EST.
