Neymar in complete meltdown at opposition players and staff in crazy scenes

Neymar was an image of anything but class after Santos progressed to the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil.

Rony’s 74th-minute winner in the second leg proved to be the decisive strike after the first leg ended in a 0-0 draw.

And Neymar, who came on at half-time and provided the assist for Rony’s winner, decided to rub the result in the faces of Remo’s players and staff.

In a clip shared on X, Neymar let rip in the bowels of the Mangueirao Stadium.

The 34-year-old was captured screaming at Remo’s players and staff before being ushered to Santos’ dressing room.

But before he disappeared, Neymar beat his hand over the Santos badge on his kit and busted out some dance moves.

Throughout the ordeal, Neymar was heard yelling: “Eliminated! Eliminated!”

Neymar is ‘worshipped by a horde of children’

Unsurprisingly, Neymar’s ugly behaviour did not go down well in the Remo camp.

Several Remo figures raised their middle finger in Neymar’s direction while one knocked down a metal fence.

Remo club president Tonhao, who was present for Neymar’s bizarre meltdown, held nothing back when asked about the winger’s provocative behaviour.

“Santos doesn’t need this sort of thing,” Tonhao said.

“And this useless Neymar, who is worshipped by a horde of children, puts on his little show here and then even comes over to provoke us.

“So it’s our own fault for idolising a horde of good-for-nothings like this guy.”

Neymar’s curtain call?

Neymar’s rogue post-match outburst comes days after he admitted he is pondering the end of his playing career.

The Brazilian icon’s deal with Santos expires in December, sparking plenty of uncertainty about what may come next.

“I’m not thinking about stopping, nor do I know how long I’ll carry on,” Neymar said.

“I have a contract with Santos until December. I intend to see it through, to honour the Santos shirt as best I can, and then I’ll think about it when my contract ends, whether I stay at Santos, move on, stop playing or carry on.

“I really don’t know what I’m going to do. There’s still a long way to go until December, so let’s take it one step at a time.”

Although yet to call time on his playing career, Neymar has already announced his retirement from international football.

The 34-year-old made the decision immediately after Brazil were knocked out by Norway in the last 16 at the World Cup.

Neymar won 130 international caps for Brazil, scoring 80 goals and contributing 59 assists.
