Netflix announces WWE Unreal Season 3 release date, featured Superstars

Fans of the Netflix series WWE Unreal will be thrilled with the latest updates on the upcoming Season 3, which comes out this summer.

Netflix announced that WWE Unreal Season 3 will premiere on July 31, 2026, on the streaming service. Presumably, all five 50-minute episodes will premiere on that date.

Of course, the cast list is unreal (pun intended). John Cena will return to the show, likely showing the final months of his retirement tour. The second season of the show concluded with his SummerSlam 2025 match against Cody Rhodes (and Brock Lesnar’s return).

Rhodes, Liv Morgan, CM Punk, AJ Lee, Trick Williams, Lash Legend, Stephanie Vaquer, Oba Femi, Bron Breakker, Chelsea Green, Matt Cardona, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch are all confirmed to appear in the season as well.

What is WWE Unreal Season 3 about?

Unreal Season 3 will follow various Superstars’ journeys to WrestleMania 42. The last season concluded with SummerSlam 2025’s main event between Cena and Rhodes.

The official synopsis reads: “In WWE Unreal Season 3, John Cena says goodbye, a fan favorite returns, and the next generation of Superstars rise to the occasion. The series takes viewers inside the writers room as injuries, last-minute pivots, and career-defining decisions reshape WWE’s biggest season yet heading into WrestleMania 42.”

This is the third season of the hit documentary series to premiere on Netflix. The first premiered on July 29, 2025. A second season followed on Jan. 20, 2026.

The third season’s release could set a precedent for the show, should Netflix continue producing seasons. Perhaps they will continue releasing two seasons every year. After all, they have so far chronicled Superstars’ paths to WrestleMania and SummerSlam, WWE’s biggest annual spring and summer PLEs.

The show only releases in five-episode batches. Maybe they will continue following the roads to WrestleMania and SummerSlam with two seasons a year on Netflix.
