NBA fans react to stunning ending of Warriors-Clippers play-in clash

Somewhere out there, NBA commissioner Adam Silver is smoking a cigar and nodding proudly.

This year’s Play-In Tournament has been nothing but peak entertainment, with fans being treated to high-quality competition, especially the nail-biter between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

The Warriors rallied from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 126-121, at Intuit Dome.

Golden State broke the tie, 120-117, with 50 seconds left after Stephen Curry buried his seventh three-pointer of the game. The Warriors then scored four straight points to take the fight out of the Clippers.

Fans on X went bonkers over the wild finish.

“Draymond (Green) clamped Kawhi (Leonard) in the clutch. Big Al (Horford) was money from three, and Steph was just straight amazing! That’s how stars step up in the biggest moments,” said @WhoDatAndHoops.

“PLAYOFF STEPH HAS ARRIVED. 35 points to keep the season alive. You simply cannot leave this man open from 30 feet,” added @BigMagic30.

“Insanity is an understatement. Curry going nuclear while the Clippers are collapsing. Classic playoff atmosphere already,” wrote @iamibtaihaj08.

“Warriors really beat the Clippers after trailing all game, LMAO,” posted @skibidihamsandw.

“Left the house with the Clippers in control. Got to the office to find out the Warriors won. Damn!” commented @Coach_Corleone.

Curry finished with a game-high 35 points, including 27 in the second half. Horford also went nuclear, sinking four three-pointers in the fourth quarter. Green, meanwhile, limited Leonard to just two points in the closing frame.

Leonard did not score in the fourth quarter until the last 17 seconds.

The Warriors will battle the Phoenix Suns on Friday for the last ticket to the playoffs in the Western Conference.
