‘Mizzou girl’ Kay Adams fired up over Bears’ Ben Johnson driving Luther Burden III hype train
The Chicago Bears are currently in the middle of training camp as they gear up for the 2026 NFL season. The Bears are hoping to take another step forward this year after a strong 2025 season that saw them make it to the divisional round of the NFC playoffs and very nearly further than that.
One player with immense hype heading into this year is wide receiver Luther Burden III, who had a strong rookie season with Chicago last year.
Recently, Bears head coach Ben Johnson broke down Burden III’s approach during training camp.
“Ever since he got here, he’s done a phenomenal job of being supremely motivated, he wants to be the best… I think we have a number of guys who are like that as well,” he said, per Up & Adams on X, formerly Twitter.
“I’m a Mizzou girl, I love all of it,” responded host Kay Adams.
Burden III established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the country during his time with the Missouri Tigers before being selected by the Bears in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft and going on to help lead Chicago’s resurgence last year.
The Bears will see increased pressure on Burden III this year in the midst of their trade of wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills, thinning out their wide receiver room in the process.
However, if his performance at training camp is any indication, Burden III is more than up to the challenge. Chicago will also look for continued growth from young star quarterback Caleb Williams on the heels of a strong season last year.
The Bears are set to kick off their new campaign on September 13 vs the Carolina Panthers.
