Newcastle will be aiming to continue their unbeaten start to the new season tonight as they take on Championship side Millwall in a bid to reach the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

The Lions have won five of their seven matches across all competitions this season so still find themselves in a good spot, currently seventh in the Championship table but only two points off the top of the tree.

The south east London side have got the better of both QPR and Cambridge in the Carabao Cup so far to reach the round three stage, and now find themselves just 90 minutes away from reaching the last 16 of the competition for the first time in 32 years.

Tonight’s meeting will be the first one between the two sides since Newcastle won 2-1 away from home in a second tier clash in April 1993.
