Maxx Crosby begs NFL to introduce NBA-style rule change and names ‘sleeper’ QB he struggles to sack
Maxx Crosby isn’t letting his failed trade to the Baltimore Ravens get him down, but he does want the NFL to up its cleat game.
The Las Vegas Raiders superstar has been casting envious glances at the NBA, where players are able to rock an impressive range of footwear.

By contrast, football stars are limited to black, white and the colors on their team’s jerseys, which means a lot of monochrome for Crosby, who almost would up wearing purple only to see Baltimore pull the plug last-minute.
“The shoe game. NBA does it right They let the players do their own s***,” Crosby told N3ON in a recent livestream when asked about rules he’d like to change. “Players get creative with how they want to be swagged out.
“In the NFL, you can’t even wear, like, any color that’s off the jersey, which is lowkey lame. NFL shouldn’t be tripping, bro.”
Currently, NFL players must request specific permission for cleats with visible logos, names, or commercial identification.
In Week 15, Crosby wore pink rose-patterned Air Jordan 11s with ‘Ella’ written on the front to pay tribute to his daughter Ella Rose
“I wore pink cleats in Philly this year bro,” he explained. “I wore them for about two-three drives.
“They were on the sideline. My equipment guy was looking at me with the pair of my other cleats like, ‘Yo, you got to come take those cleats off. They’re (expletive) about it.’
“I got a sack in those pink cleats. And then I had to take them off so I could never wear them again.
“But those cleats were legendary. But the NFL shouldn’t be tripping bro. The NFL should just let us wear our own colors for our shoes.
“It’s not that hard bro. It ain’t hurting anybody.”

Maxx Crosby names only QB he can’t catch
Crosby also discussed the mentality which has seen him rack up 69.5 sacks for the Silver and Black.
He said he firmly believes he will beat any of 31 QBs in a foot race, with the only exception being the man he almost ended up on the same team as.
“I want to take a really good pursuit angle,” he explained. “And, for me, that delusion in my head, I’m like, ‘(expletive) the quarterback.’
“Besides Lamar Jackson, I’m running their ass down no matter what.”
He also named Tampa Bay Bucaneers QB Baker Mayfield as one of the ‘sleeper’ QBs he struggles to sack.
“Sleeper one too: Baker Mayfield. He pissed me off, bro. I had like two of them I should’ve had on him. He lowkey ducked under and got out of there. I was f***ing livid,” Crosby said.
Despite his own ability, Crosby has not often been on a winning football team.
How quickly Fernando Mendoza adapts to life as a pro will determine if that is to change.

The No. 1 pick appeared on his new teammate’s podcast and got some words of advice.
“Being truly present is being exactly where your feet are at and feeling those emotions in that moment at that exact time,” Crosby explained. “You can’t predict the future, and you can’t go back and switch how things happened in the past.”
Kirk Cousins will likely start the season before handing over to the rookie at some point and had his own mentor moment.
“If you’re not genuine in this league, you’re not going to last long,” Mendoza revealed hearing from his veteran guide.
