Mark DeRosa makes brutally honest admission about Dodgers’ Andy Pages
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andy Pages has been one of the best hitters on the team in 2026. Pages even recently had a three-home run game. His performance has been especially important with stars such as Mookie Betts out due to injury. Mark DeRosa recently gave Pages his flowers while speaking on MLB Network.
“As we lean into 2026, you could make the argument he’s been their best offensive player with Max Muncy,” DeRosa said. “It hasn’t been (Shohei) Ohtani yet, it hasn’t been Freddie (Freeman) yet, they will eventually get going. It’s been Andy Pages and Max Muncy that have led it.”
Pages, 25, is hitting .336/.376/.569 across 37 games played. He has also hit eight home runs and eight doubles.
Pages’ performance is the perfect example of why the Dodgers are so good. As DeRosa mentioned, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman have yet to meet their expectations at the plate. Kyle Tucker has also not swung the bat especially well. Mookie Betts could return soon but he has been out with an injury. Yet, LA still leads the National League West with a 23-14 overall record.
The Dodgers have some of the best talent and depth in the game. Pages would be one of the best players on most other teams, yet his play is sometimes overlooked in Los Angeles given all of the stars on the roster.
Andy Pages will look to continue swinging the bat well on Friday night when the Dodgers begin a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves in Los Angeles. First pitch is scheduled for 10:10 PM EST.
