LIV Golf UK betting tips: Selections and picks for JCB Golf & Country Club

The 10th event of the LIV Golf season takes place at the JCB Golf and Country Club in Rocester, Staffordshire this week.

And Spaniard Jon Rahm, who leads the individual standings, has been installed as favourite for the UK tournament.

Bryson DeChambeau, who was involved in a tetchy altercation with the R&A officials at last week’s Open Championship which culminated in a two-shot penalty, is priced at 13/2, ahead of Joaquin Niemann and Tyrrell Hatton, who are both available at 7/1.

Niemann is the defending LIV UK champion and he will fancy his chances of putting in a solid title defence at this course, which is a par 71 boasting 11 par-fours, three par-fives and four par-threes.

Niemann in line for successful defence

This will be the third year in a row that LIV UK has been held at the JCB Golf and Country Club and Niemann has an excellent record at the Uttoxeter venue, having finished second in 2024 before taking the title in 2025.

Accurate approach play has proved to be crucial to success at this course, which boasts undulating fairways and drastic elevation changes, and the Chilean’s standing of ninth in greens in regulation on the LIV circuit this year stands him in good stead.

Niemann missed the cut at last week’s Open at Royal Birkdale, a disappointing result in a Major, he looks to have the game to contend in, but he has the mental strength to move on quickly from that outing and he is back in his LIV comfort zone.

No player has won more LIV titles than the 27-year-old, who won for the eighth time in Korea at the end of May, and it would be a huge surprise if he was not in contention this week.

Grace can get in the mix

Another player worth noting this week is Branden Grace, who has form figures of T3-T5-T21-T12-T11 in his last five LIV starts and he looks capable of landing his first win on this tour since Portland 2022.

The South African’s irons have looked sharp this season, evidenced by his ranking of fifth in greens in regulation, while his position of first in scrambling shows he is getting up-and-down more often than not when missing the greens.

Grace has had a few weeks to rest up, having not been in competitive action since the Italian Open at the end of June, and he heads to a course he was tied 21st at last year.

In-form Vincent to contend

When it comes to consistency on the LIV circuit, Scott Vincent is right up there. He has form figures of T17-11-4-T8-5-15 in his last six starts on the breakaway tour and another bold showing is anticipated.

The Zimbabwean continued his solid form when tied 10th at the International Series Morocco before he missed the cut at the Open, although failing to make the weekend is not a huge concern given his lack of Major experience.

Vincent will be happier back in this smaller-field LIV event and he has previous at this course, having shared 16th position in the 2024 edition.

The 34-year-old is 12th in greens in regulation and his short game has also been on song, as he sits fifth in scrambling and 19th in putting average.
