Latest Dodgers’ Mookie Betts update suggests his injury return is near
Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts is continuing to work his way back from an oblique injury. It seems as if his return from injury could happen quite soon, as Betts is expected to play in rehab games at Triple-A on Friday and Saturday, according to the Dodgers’ Triple-A team the Oklahoma City Comets.
“BREAKING: Eight-time All-Star, four-time World Series champ and former MVP Mookie Betts is scheduled to play for the Comets Friday & Saturday as part of a Major League Rehab Assignment!”
Betts suffered the injury early in the season. It was initially uncertain how much time Betts would miss. Barring any setbacks, the Dodgers star could return soon.
Betts, 33, hit just .179/.281/.429 across his 32 plate appearances before suffering the injury. Nevertheless, Los Angeles is obviously looking forward to the eight-time All-Star’s return. Betts is still one of the best players in all of MLB when he is on top of his game.
The Dodgers have played well in 2026, but the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees are tied for the best record in all of MLB at the moment with marks of 26-12. Meanwhile, LA leads the National League West with a 23-14 overall record.
In all reality, Los Angeles still features the most overall talent in the game. Many of the Dodgers stars are currently injured, though. Mookie Betts and Blake Snell are among the players dealing with injuries.
The Dodgers are only getting stronger, however. Mookie Betts’ upcoming return will give the ball club a crucial boost.
