Kylie Jenner reveals Timothée Chalamet’s role in her Knicks fandom

Over the last couple of years, Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, has helped her get into sports, especially becoming a New York Knicks fan during their championship run.

Speaking to the Better Half podcast, Jenner conceded that she became hooked on the Knicks upon going to her first game. Perhaps it helps that her boyfriend is really into it. Jenner explained that she “never was into it unless someone was married or dating someone” who was into sports. She’d oblige, but now going to games, she’s a full-fledged fan.

“There’s something about the energy in the stadium and [in Madison Square Garden] and being there, and it was so much fun,” she raved. “And then I followed them for those two seasons.”

She knows she is “lucky” to become a fan at the right time. Jenner doesn’t appear to be running from the idea that she’s a bandwagon fan. She is aware that the Knicks are finally good, as longtime fans have suffered for decades.

Jenner and Chalamet were staples of the Knicks’ playoff games the last two years, including their championship run in 2026. Chalamet is especially devoted, even skipping the Met Gala in favor of watching his favorite team.

The patience from lifelong Knicks fan Chalamet paid off in 2026. He finally witnessed the team’s first championship in his lifetime. Their last championship was in 1973 — 53 years ago.

Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks, who faced the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals. He was named Finals MVP after averaging 32.6 points per game in the series. His 45-point performance in Game 5 helped secure the title win for his team.

Chalamet was at Game 5, which was played in San Antonio. However, Jenner was not able to join him to watch the team’s championship win.
