Knicks’ Mitchell Robinson wishes ‘silly’ teammates would give country music a try

The New York Knicks moved within two wins of an NBA championship Friday night, but Mitchell Robinson provided one of the lighter moments following the team’s 105-104 Game 2 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

Robinson spoke with reporters after New York took a commanding 2-0 lead in the 2026 NBA Finals and explained how he stays relaxed around his teammates. The veteran center referenced his love of country music and joked about the rest of the Knicks’ locker room during his postgame media availability. SNY Knicks took to X, formerly Twitter, sharing Robinson’s humorous response after the win in San Antonio.
