Jose Mourinho decides on new role for ‘superhero’ Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid
Jose Mourinho intends to make Jude Bellingham a key part of his Real Madrid side.
The 23-year-old has starred for England at the World Cup, scoring six goals so far.

He has managed to help England reach the World Cup semi-finals, where they take on Argentina, live on talkSPORT at 8pm.
And no matter what happens with England, Bellingham is set to be a huge player for Los Blancos, according to reports.
A report in Spanish outlet ‘El Debate’ claims that the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder is going to play as a no.10 behind Kylian Mbappe.
The reports states: “Mourinho wants the Englishman to play behind the Frenchman.
“What Mourinho wants is to get the most out of Bellingham’s goalscoring ability, the one that shone in his first triumphant year with Real Madrid, champion of the Champions League and the league, and that he has shown again with his national team in the World Cup.”
This is a slight tweak to Bellingham’s position from last season. The LaLiga giants often deployed him a bit deeper as they failed to win a single piece of silverware.
This will be a return to the position he first claimed at the Bernabeu. Bellingham was deployed as a false no.9 with split strikers in Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
He scored 23 goals for Los Blancos that year as they claimed the LaLiga title and Champions League.
That campaign was his best with Real by a long distance, with the 23 strikes representing half of the total number of goals he’s scored.
And as well as giving Bellingham a key role, Mourinho had nothing but praise for the Englishman as he said: “Jude Bellingham is England’s superhero. He scored the same amount of World Cup goals as Pele at the same age. Midfielders control matches, Jude controls gravity.”

Key role
Bellingham in 2025/26 for Real Madrid wasn’t as effective as he had been.
Of course, injury plagued him, as he missing several matches due to hamstring and shoulder issues.
Bellingham spent the majority of his time in a deeper midfield role and directly contributed to just 13 goals across the season.
He has nearly matched his goal tally from the club campaign at the World Cup alone.
Bellingham’s thoughts
Unsurprisingly, Bellingham can’t wait to work with one of the best managers in the world.
Mourinho is a multiple Champions League winner as well as dominating domestic leagues as well.
Real have strengthened the squad significantly already. Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konate, Bernardo Silva and Denzel Dumfries have all joined up.
And Bellingham can’t wait to get started, as he said recently: “Mourinho is a top, top coach. I’m very happy.
“We made some great signings as well, a lot of signings, with a lot of quality and experience. I’ll be very happy to work with them.
“Right now I’m focused on England, but I really like the signings they’re making.”
