Jacob Misiorowski’s bold claim will have Brewers fans dreaming of World Series

The Milwaukee Brewers currently hold the best record in baseball. Reaching the postseason has not been a problem for the Brewers in recent years. Finding success in the playoffs has been the issue. Young stars such as Jacob Misiorowski are more experienced now, however. Misiorowski is confident this season, as he recently said he’s “ready for the big lights.”

“I’m ready for basically anything,” Misiorowski said before the Brewers’ game against the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night, via B/R Walk-Off. “I’m ready for the big lights.”

Misiorowski has enjoyed a stellar season. “The Miz” has pitched to a league leading 1.73 ERA. He also leads the league with 222 strikeouts across his 151 innings of work on the mound.

Misiorowski throws harder than any other starting pitcher. He is absolutely electric on the mound. The right-handed hurler has become a must-watch pitcher every time he starts a game.

It will be interesting to see how he holds up in the postseason. He is clearly ready from a confidence standpoint, but Misiorowski’s 151 innings are already a career-high. A long 162-game season is a grind, and some young pitchers are not the same once additional postseason games begin. The good news is that Misiorowski has not displayed any signs of slowing down.

As long as Misiorowski continues to perform at a high level, the Brewers will have an opportunity to make a deep postseason run. The team will need Jacob Misiorowski to be on top of his game if they want to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers in a potential playoff series.
