Hurricanes’ Jordan Staal goes full Bobby Orr with insane diving goal in Game 4

Carolina Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal made an impact early in Game 4 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final. He has scored in each of the first four games of this series. And the Hurricanes got off to a 3-1 lead at one point. Carolina eventually surrendered this lead. But when his team needed him most, the Carolina captain delivered.

There was a scramble in front of the Vegas goal in the third period. A turnover led to a Seth Jarvis scoring chance, but Carter Hart kept that out of the net. However, the puck eventually found its way to Staal. The captain stumbled, but he was able to put the puck past Hart to restore the Hurricanes’ lead.

Staal has turned his game up to another level in the Stanley Cup Final. He is the first player since Mike Bossy in 1983 to score in each of the first four games of a Stanley Cup Final. He now has two goals on Tuesday night, and has given his team an incredible chance to claim an important win in Game 4.

This is a developing story. Updates to come.
