How long is Avengers: Doomsday? The MCU movie’s runtime has finally been revealed

Those wondering how long the runtime of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie is now have an answer. Fans can start prepping for Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans’ MCU returns.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the runtime for Avengers: Doomsday is 165 minutes (two hours and 45 minutes). It’s noted that this may not be the final runtime, as there are still about five months before the movie’s release date.

That means that the runtime could change before the release date. However, even if it does get altered, it likely won’t be a major change.

How does Doomsday’s runtime compare to other MCU Avengers movies?

The Hollywood Reporter compared Doomsday’s runtime to the past four Avengers MCU movies. If the reported runtime is real, then it will be longer than Infinity War (149 minutes) but still shorter than Endgame (181 minutes).

About a year after Doomsday comes out on Dec. 18, 2026, Secret Wars will follow on Dec. 17, 2027. There is always a chance that Secret Wars finds a way to top Endgame’s runtime. The first two Avengers movies were 143 and 141 minutes long.

Doomsday is the first Avengers movie since 2019. It will feature the returns of Downey and Evans. However, Downey is not playing the hero, Iron Man, but rather, the villain, Doctor Doom.

The Russo brothers (Joe and Anthony) are also returning to direct the next two team-up movies. They previously made two Captain America movies (The Winter Soldier and Civil War) and the last two Avengers movies (Infinity War and Endgame).

Doomsday’s cast also includes other MCU characters. Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Kirby, Simu Liu, Letitia Wright, and Joseph Quinn will also star in it.

Before Doomsday comes out, though, another MCU movie will be released. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth Tom Holland-led solo movie, will be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
