Hornets’ LaMelo Ball avoids suspension, fined $60k for tripping Bam Adebayo
During the NBA’s Play-In Tournament, Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball and Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo got entangled. During that play, Ball seems to intentionally trip Adebayo. The move led to the Heat star getting injured, much to the anger of the fans.
Now, the NBA has handed out the punishment for Ball after this incident. The Hornets star will not be suspended by the league, but he is fined $35,000 for “unnecessary and reckless contact”, according to the post of the NBA Communications account. Additionally, Ball was fined an additional $25,000 due to using profane language in the post-game press conference.
