Gilberto Ramirez vs David Benavidez: Start time, undercard and where to watch title fight

Gilberto Ramirez and David Benavidez lock horns this weekend in a fight that promises to produce fireworks.

Benavidez is set to jump up to cruiserweight for the first time to challenge Ramirez for his WBA and WBO belts in Las Vegas.

The boxing titans made Long Beach’s Hill Street Boxing Gym come to a standstill every time they stepped into the ring to spar in the late 2010s and early 2020s.

And now they will treat a packed-out T-Mobile Arena to a high-octane battle on Saturday night.

Benavidez (31-0) is looking to join an elite group of three-weight world champions after being elevated to full WBC light heavyweight titlist last April, following two stints as WBC super middleweight champion.

Ramirez (48-1) previously held the WBO super middleweight crown before moving up and unifying the cruiserweight division.

The Cinco De Mayo showdown is being streamed on DAZN PPV.

Ramirez vs Benavidez is priced at £24.99 in the UK or $79.99 in the US, but can be watched for no extra charge by existing DAZN Ultimate subscribers.

DAZN’s coverage starts at 5pm PT, and 8pm on the East Coast, meaning UK fans will have to stay up until 1am BST (Sunday) to watch the fight.

The headliners are expected to make their ringwalks at 8.20pm PT, 11.20pm ET, 4.20am BST (Sunday).

“I’m the champ. I don’t feel disrespect. I just train hard to put a great show to prove myself and prepare to be still champion.”

Benavidez added: “I’m very excited for this. I’ve been training extremely hard. I got five months of training in this training
camp because I knew Zurdo Ramirez is a great fighter.
