Giants’ Abdul Carter calls out Jaxson Dart introducing Donald Trump with ‘AI’ admission

With the New York Giants working in the offseason to improve ahead of the 2026 season, there is a piece of news that people are focusing on that is outside of football. As Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump at an event in New York, a response from teammate Abdul Carter has been the talk of the football world.

Carter would share his thoughts on X, formerly Twitter, on his teammate and the New York quarterback in Dart, introducing the controversial president. Going as far as to say that he thought the video of Dart speaking at a Trump rally was “AI” or was made by artificial intelligence.

“Thought this s*** was AI, what we doing man,” Carter wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

This has led to a stir in the sports world and fans of the Giants, as it’s been made known that Carter disagrees with the beliefs of Trump, who has been a polarizing political figure, to say the least. After leading the crowd in a “Go, Big Blue!” chant, Dart would share how it’s a “pleasure” to introduce Trump.

“What an honor, what a privilege it is to be here and…I’m grateful, I’m honored, I’m pleasured to introduce…President Donald J. Trump,” Dart said on Friday.

Dart’s support of Trump, with Carter speaking out, could lead to some people thinking that the locker room is now divided, as shown by the two 2025 NFL Draft picks by New York. Trump has been criticized for his role in the current war in Iran, his expansion of the operations of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which has led to the death of American citizens, and more.

However, there is still support from Trump, shown with Dart introducing him, as the president even predicted that the 23-year-0ld will be a “future Hall of Famer. He also said the quarterback is a “beautiful guy” with “legs like tree trunks.”

It remains to be seen if the differences between Carter and Dart will be a factor in the Giants’ upcoming season in 2026.
