Fever’s Caitlin Clark predicted her monster night before game vs. Sky
Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark woke up on Sunday feeling dangerous.
She said so herself.
Clark led the Fever against the Chicago Sky, 113-90, at Wintrust Arena to end their two-game skid. The prolific guard had a game-high 37 points on 13-of-24 shooting, three rebounds, and 10 assists. She waxed hot from long distance, nailing a career-high eight three-pointers on 12 attempts.
In the postgame interview, Clark was asked when she knew she would have a special night. The three-time All-Star had a confident reply.
“Before the game started. You can ask Coach Steph (White). I said, ‘It’s going to be one of those nights,'” said Clark.
“I think I just got some really good sleep at the hotel last night, from 3 a.m. to about 11 a.m. So I got nice hours, woke up, watched film, went through the scout (report), and came and played.”

It was the second end of a back-to-back schedule for the Fever. The 24-year-old Clark said they could not afford to feel tired, especially with Aliyah Boston sidelined by a leg injury.
“I think it’s just the mindset. You can tell yourself you’re tired or you can tell yourself you’re gonna go out there and dominate. I felt like that’s what I told myself, that’s what I told my teammates, and there’s only one option, and that was to win. I thought we came out and performed that way,” added the do-it-all playmaker.
Kelsey Mitchell also had a big game, scoring 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including 6-of-9 from rainbow territory. Makayla Thompson added 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
The Fever, who improved to 25-14, will get a four-day rest before taking on the Connecticut Sun on Friday.
