Donte Whitner calls out ‘f***ing disgusting’ behavior of his, Aldon Smith’s ex-49ers teammates

Recently, the NFL world received some sad news when former San Francisco 49ers star Aldon Smith passed away at the age of 36. The circumstances of Smith’s death are still unclear, and recently, his former San Francisco teammate, Donte Whitner, took to The Grit Code Podcast to discuss some leads he has gotten on the investigation from some of their ex-teammates.

“The day that Aldon died, I received text messages, phone calls, FaceTimes from some of our ex-teammates,” Whitner said. “And some of the s*** that I saw was f***** disgusting,” he said, per Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk.

“Now, I’m gonna go ahead and say it. C.J. Spillman called me. Six a.m. Bali time. And he put me on FaceTime, and he was showing me pictures of Aldon slumped over in the front seat. Aldon, laying on the ground in front of the vehicle that he was traveling in . . . with all the s*** hooked up to his body, pretty much deceased.”

Whitner then offered advice to Smith’s family as they search for answers in the untimely passing, referencing the fact that they have reportedly hired private investigators to help out.

“So, I saw that Aldon’s family is hiring private investigators, lawyers, to investigate what actually happened that day, and I hope that they listen to this so they can understand and know who to contact. First and foremost, C.J. Spillman should have a lot of answers for you. And Anthony Davis as well. Anthony Davis was in the pictures, looking over Aldon,” he said.

Smith played for the 49ers from 2011-2014 and was a Pro Bowler during the 2012 season for San Francisco.
