Dodgers rumors: Reporter reveals truth of LA’s potential Tarik Skubal trade pursuit

The Los Angeles Dodgers are often linked to many stars during trade deadline season. With that being said, the Dodgers have unsurprisingly been mentioned as a potential suitor for Tarik Skubal. However, are the Dodgers going to seriously pursue the Detroit Tigers ace before the trade deadline? Dodgers reporter Katie Woo addressed the subject during the latest episode of Dodgers Territory.

“(The rumors) are going to be loud,” Woo said. “But just because they’re loud doesn’t mean they’re always right. I’m not here to downplay any chance of the Dodgers doing anything with Skubal, because it’s Los Angeles they’re going to be involved no matter what… Because they are one of the few organizations that even have the ability to pull off a trade… That’s why it’s not going to go away.”

The Dodgers feature a talented MLB roster without question. However, LA also features one of the better farm systems in the game, which places them in a position to make a trade for a star such as Skubal.

“They can do pretty much anything they want,” Woo continued. “Which is why they are so scary… My personal feeling this is a low likelihood of happening, I also said that about Kyle Tucker, so what do I know?”

Anything could happen. If the Dodgers want Skubal, they could probably get him. With that being said, there will be plenty of other trade suitors for the two-time Cy Young winner. Tarik Skubal will be the most popular trade candidate before the deadline.
