Ja’Marr Chase enjoys seeing an angry Joe Burrow as the star duo gears up for the Cincinnati Bengals’ 2026 campaign.

Chase and Burrow are preparing for their sixth season together, shining as one of the best quarterback-receiver duos in the entire league. Whenever Burrow is healthy, Chase dominates opponents as he constantly receives targets from his fellow co-star.

Chase and Burrow are gearing up for an important campaign, looking to end the Bengals’ playoff drought of three consecutive years. As for Burrow, he suffered a serious injury that saw him miss over half of last season. With motivations being high, Chase noted Burrow being more aggressive with his style of play.

“I like it when he’s f**king pissed off,” Chase said during his interview with Cameron Wolfe. “I’m not gonna lie, I like it when he’s like that. I like the fire that he has. He don’t always bring it out. He maybe did it once or twice since camp started, but I like it. I love the fire when he has it. His demeanor is just more aggressive. His face is more aggressive, the way he talks is more aggressive, and he got like a little mean mug on his face.”

What lies ahead for Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals

The Bengals have been unable to achieve great heights since their Super Bowl appearance in 2021 and AFC Championship berth the following year. Despite this, that won’t stop Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase from trying.

Burrow went 5-3 in his eight starts last season, completing 173 passes for 1,809 yards and 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. As for Chase, he caught 125 passes for 1,412 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Bengals will seek to improve upon their 6-11 record from the previous season. They also intend to make the playoffs after a three-year absence and put an end to three consecutive seasons not winning the AFC North.

Cincinnati sees its campaign go underway at home, hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That matchup will go down on Sept. 13 as kickoff takes place at 1 p.m. ET.
