Kai Havertz’s late penalty against his former club in last week’s first leg ensured Arsenal head into Tuesday’s match level in the tie after a 1-1 draw in Germany.
The Gunners will be in buoyant mood heading into Tuesday’s tie after a 2-0 win against Everton on Saturday evening saw them open up a nine point lead at the top of the Premier League in their hunt for a first league title in 22 years.
Bayer Leverkusen, meanwhile held runaway Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon, their fifth draw in their last five matches, which saw them fall five points shy of the Champions League qualifying places for next season.

Three PSG goals in the final 16 minutes of last week’s first leg in the French capital left the defending champions with one foot in the quarter final of this season’s Champions League following a 5-2 victory against the Premier League side.
Chelsea had performed well for the opening 75 minutes but lost control of the match in the latter stages which leaves them now needing to win by three clear goals on Tuesday in order to continue their European journey.
The mood in the west London dressing room hasn’t been helped by the Blues’ 1-0 home defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday evening, while PSG’s Ligue 1 match against Nantes was postponed to give them extra preparation time for their trip to Stamford Bridge.

Defeat at the Bernabeu ended an 11-match unbeaten streak, and Saturday’s draw at West Ham saw Pep Guardiola’s side fall nine points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.

Newcastle (1) v (1) Barcelona (Wed, 5:45pm)
Lamine Yamal’s 96th minute penalty at St James’ Park on Tuesday night denied Newcastle a famous victory over Barcelona, and ensured the two sides head into Wednesday’s early kick off in the Champions League all square.
Newcastle are aiming to reach the last eight of the Champions League for the first time in their history, and know that a performance similar to last week’s would put them in a fantastic position to reach the quarter finals.
The Magpies climb into the top half of the Premier League on Saturday evening with a 1-0 win at Chelsea, taking them within seven points of the top five, while Barcelona stormed to a 5-2 home win against Sevilla on Sunday afternoon, restoring their four point lead at the top of La Liga.

Mario Lemina’s early header in last week’s first leg in Istanbul sees Galatasaray make the trip to Anfield for Wednesday night’s clash in the lead in the tie as they bid to reach the quarter final of the Champions League for the first time in 13 years.
Liverpool rested some of their first team players in their disappointing 1-1 draw against a Tottenham side in free fall in the Premier League, while their Turkish opponents secured a 3-0 win over Basaksehir to pull themselves seven points clear at the top of the Super Lig.

Tottenham (2) v (5) Atletico Madrid (Wed, 8pm)
Tottenham endured a horror start to their first leg of their last 16 tie last week, conceding four goals in the opening 22 minutes to all but see them out of the competition.
Igor Tudor’s side recovered to leave the scoreline 5-2 but the Spurs boss will be far more focused on their battle to avoid a previously unthinkable Premier League relegation than putting too many eggs in the Champions League basket.
Their point earned at Anfield on Sunday leaves keeps them hovering just a point above the bottom three, while Atletico Madrid made it six wins in their last seven games with a 1-0 victory over Getafe.
