Brooks Koepka snapped behind-the-scenes waiting to find out if he can play $20m PGA Tour event
Brooks Koepka needs a little bit of help to make the RBC Heritage field.
The American hasn’t played in a signature event since making his PGA Tour comeback via its Returning Member Program.

Last December, Koepka confirmed he was leaving LIV Golf — which is now said to be in serious trouble — and his return to the tour was confirmed in the new year.
He posted an impressive T12 finish at the 2026 Masters over the weekend, finishing 5-under-par, and is now hoping to play at Harbour Town this week, where the purse stands at $20million.
Brooks Koepka patiently waiting for RBC Heritage call-up
On Thursday, Koepka was spotted ‘playing the waiting game’ on Hilton Head Island.
He will be able to join the RBC Heritage field if a late withdraw happens.
Michael Thorbjornsen was initially listed as the first alternate, and he replaced Justin Rose in the 82-player field.
Rose withdrew earlier this week, following agony at Augusta National, where he led the Masters by two in the final round before letting it slip.
The Englishman finished T3 when all was said and done.
Thorbjornsen has stepped in to fill his spot at Harbour Town and Koepka is next in line, should anyone else pull out.
The last tee time is 2:10pm ET Thursday, so it could be a little while yet before he finds out his fate.
“Playing the waiting game,” the official PGA Tour account posted Thursday, sharing a picture of the American, who appeared to be relaxing with a Starbucks coffee.
“As first alternate, if Brooks Koepka gets in, Keith Mitchell and Taylor Moore would also get in per the Returning Member Program.”
More to follow.
