Brighton v Nottingham Forest betting tips and predictions – Tricky Trees too silence Seagulls?

Brighton host Nottingham Forest at the Amex Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

A new month breeds new opportunity? That’s how Nottingham Forest will hope March plays out in their battle to avoid relegation.

Vitor Pereira’s has overseen qualification for the Europa League last 16 as well as a narrow loss to reigning champions Liverpool.

It does appear the Forest players are still fighting and scrapping which could bear fruit on Sunday.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest predictions

Brighton won only their third league game in 2026 with an impressive 2-0 victory over the in-form Brentford last weekend.

The Seagulls were sliding down the table with manager Fabian Hurzeler coming under scrutiny for the first time since he took over as manager in 2024.

That win may have alleviated the immediate pressure but having only tasted victory on home soil once since November. The home crowd will hope this is the spark required to hit a purple patch in form.

Nottingham Forest advanced to the last 16 of the Europa League, beating Fenerbahce 4-2 on aggregate, despite losing 2-1 at the City Ground on Thursday night.

This should give the club a lift, and prove they have the stomach to survive relegation to the Championship.

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored a crucial goal on Thursday to stop the Turkish side’s momentum. The forward could also play a big role in Sunday’s match too.

Especially as Forest’s centre forwards are finding it hard to hit the back of the net right now – in the league anyway.

Igor Jesus has only scored two goals in 26 Premier League appearances this campaign. Compare that to seven in eight Europa League fixtures. January loan signing from Napoli, Lorenzo Lucca has only one goal since his arrival.

Brighton vs Nottingham Forest betting tips

Brighton and Nottingham Forest face off at the Amex Stadium on Sunday, both eyeing up three points for different reasons.

The Seagulls are looking up towards the sanctuary of mid-table, while Forest know three points will take them closer to their safe haven, of Premier League survival.

In the league Brighton games have only featured over 2.5 goals three times in 2026. However both teams have scored in seven of their last 10 fixtures.

Danny Welbeck found his scoring touch again in the victory over Brentford. The former Arsenal and Man United striker had been on fire in the Autumn. But this was his first goal in nine games.

Brighton’s other attacking options are young and exciting but have little Premier League experience. An in-form Welbeck could be decisive for the rest of the season.

BTTS could land here again, and we’ve pushed the odds again if Forest can sniff a much needed winner.

The longer it may still level, it may come down to who’s position is more perilous. With Forest knowing a first league victory in a month could change the course of their campaign.
