Little Mix star fainted after Jurgen Klopp request in ‘most embarrassing moment’ of life
Little Mix member Perrie Edwards revealed how being asked to sing by Jurgen Klopp led to the ‘most embarrassing moment’ in her life.
The incident in question occurred at an event where she was alongside her fiance Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain shortly after he’d signed for Liverpool from Arsenal in August 2017.

“When Alex went to Liverpool, we went to a party. And, it was all new,” Edwards said on Hits Radio Breakfast.
“I was meeting everybody for the first time, their wives, their partners, everything.
“And it was nice and Jurgen Klopp was there and he was like, ‘Oh, would you like to sing?’
“And I said, ‘No, I would not like to sing! Not in front of all these people I don’t know, looking like an idiot.’
“He said, ‘Please!'”
Jur not joking
With Klopp insistent on getting Edwards to put her vocal chords to good use in front of the group, the Little Mix star raced to the loo in a desperate bid to hide from the Reds boss.
But it all got a bit too much for the 32-year-old as she fainted.
Thankfully Edwards quickly came around, but woke to the likes of Jordan Henderson and other Liverpool players crowding around to check if she was ok.
The embarrassment had Edwards wanting ‘the ground to swallow me up.’
“It’s the most embarrassing moment of my life,” Edwards added.

Shout Out to My Ex-manager
Luckily for Edwards, she no longer has to stress over being asked by Klopp to sing at a Liverpool party.
Oxlade-Chamberlain departed the club in 2023 after his contract at Anfield expired.
He then moved to Besiktas in August 2023 on a three-year deal, only to depart in August 2025 after his contract was terminated.
The 32-year-old is now on the books of Celtic having joined in February 2026, where he has already won two pieces of silverware in the form of the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup.
As for Klopp, he left Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 campaign and now works as Red Bull’s global head of soccer.
Despite his role, the German is continually linked with managerial posts, including Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.
