Brewers star Jacob Misiorowski’s lethal velocity stats will blow your mind

As Milwaukee Brewers star Jacob Misiorowski had an insane May, capped off in another spectacular outing in Sunday’s 2-0 win over the Houston Astros, he once again showed off his impressive velocity. While Misiorowski has displayed historic feats for the Brewers, the latest statistics on his velocity after Sunday’s game are something to marvel at.

According to MLB.com’s Sarah Langs, the tracking of the number of times a starting pitcher has thrown balls over 103 miles per hour, “under pitch tracking” since 2008, has Misiorowski separating himself vastly from the rest.

“All 103.0+ mph pitches as SP under pitch tracking (2008 including playoffs): Jacob Misiorowski: 24, Jordan Hicks: 2 (as opener), Justin Verlander: 1,” Langs wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

While 103 miles per hour is incredible, Misiorowski even separates himself when it comes to lowering the speed to 101 miles per hour:

“Most 101.0+ mph strikeouts as a starter under pitch tracking (2008, including playoffs): Jacob Misiorowski: 40, Hunter Greene: 29, Jacob deGrom: 11, Justin Verlander: 9,” Langs wrote in another post on X. “Misiorowski has 33 this year, more than any other SP in a career.”

Brewers’ Jacob Misiorowski reacts to his outstanding numbers in May

Sure, the speed from the Brewers starter in Misiorowski is stupendous, but what about the overall statistics? If anything, it’s more impressive as he just capped off May, where he recorded an eye-opening 0.23 ERA with a .109 opponents’ batting average, a 0.52, and 57 strikeouts.

Misiorowski’s thoughts on his May feature a nonchalant response:

“Yeah, it was pretty good. I mean, I haven’t looked at all the numbers and stuff. I couldn’t tell you exactly what I did, so it felt good. Felt like a pretty decent month,” Misiorowski said, according to Adam McCalvy.

“I mean, that’s decent,” Misiorowski continued, hearing he had a 0.23 ERA in May. “No, that’s pretty good, but no, I mean, again, I can’t look at it, can’t really focus on that. As soon as you do, it goes haywire.”

Misiorowski looks to keep the velocity and production going as his next scheduled start for the Brewers comes next Friday against the Colorado Rockies. The Brewers are now 35-21, which puts them in first place in the NL Central.
