Brewers reveal why Kyle Harrison left Pirates clash after 8-straight Ks
The Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates are squaring off in a huge NL Central matchup on Wednesday. After a Game 2 win on Tuesday, the Crew was rolling on Wednesday. But the Brewers had to pull starter Kyle Harrison after just five innings due to cramps in both calves, per USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.
“The Brewers announce that he left the game with cramping in both calves,” Nightengale reported.
Just before he was pulled, Harrison was on a roll, striking out eight consecutive batters. In total, he struck out ten batters in five innings, allowing just one hit. The Brewers were winning 3-0 when Harrison was pulled.
