Mike Trout makes feelings clear on Angels future after trade deadline

The Los Angeles Angels have received praise for their MLB trade deadline moves. The Angels are finally rebuilding, which is something they have needed to do for many years in all reality. In fact, even superstar Mike Trout gave his team their flowers for their trade deadline performance. So, does Trout still envision himself remaining in Anaheim as the team enters a rebuild?

“Nah, it hasn’t changed anything,” Trout responded when asked if the team selling changed his views on remaining with the Angels, via Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.

Trout has been loyal to the ball club without question. Some have criticized him for it, as they have questioned his desire to win. Others have praised him for it, as they believe his loyalty and desire to win with one team is respectable.

Regardless of the outside noise and various opinions, Trout clearly knows what he wants. He has spent his career in Anaheim so far with the team and that seemingly is not changing any time soon.

Will Mike Trout end up spending his entire big league career with the Angels? Only time will tell. He is 34 years old so the idea of Trout never leaving the ball club until retirement is not out of the question, especially given his no-trade clause and the fact that he is under contract through 2030.

It seems as if the only way Trout will end up elsewhere is if he requests a trade, which his comment on Wednesday suggests he is not currently considering.
