In this Brawl Stars Max guide, we’ll take a look at her attacks, stats, and skills and create the best build possible. Max is a fast Support Brawler who can make her and her teammates move faster with her Super. Without further ado, let’s take a look at Max.

Brawl Stars Max Guide – How To Unlock

Overall, you can unlock Max in Brawl Stars in one of the following ways:

• Unlock Max on Starr Road for 1,900 Credits
  • Max must be your selected brawler on Starr Road to make sure your credits go towards unlocking him.
• Purchase Max for 349 Gems OR Two Brawler Keys
• Unlock Max via:
  • Mythic (2.96%) or Legendary (6.10%) Starr Drop
  • Mythic (3.88%), Legendary (5.43%), or Ultra Legendary (24.75%) Chaos Drop
  • Mega Box (0.2%)

Brawl Stars Max Guide – Attacks & Stats Per Level

Max’s Main attack, Faster Blaster, is a long-range attack in which Max fires four projectiles, with each one dealing damage. Max is unique in that she’s the only brawler in the game with four ammo slots (unless you use Brock’s No 4. Rocket Star Power).

Max’s Super, Let’s Go, lets Max increase the movement speed of herself and all nearby teammates. The effect only lasts briefly and all brawlers resume to their normal speed.

Furthermore Max’s Hypercharge, Unlimited Energy, lets Max throw an Energy drink to each of her teammates that improves movement speed and charges some of their Super. With the Buffie Effect, this Hypercharge gives Max and herself a slight Super Charge whenever she hits an enemy with her main attack.

Lastly, Max possesses a trait that lets her charge her Super while she’s moving.

Overall, Max has two gadgets:

• Phase Shifter – “Max dashes forward, and becomes immune to all damage from enemies while dashing.”
  • Buffie Effect: “Max can dash a second time right after the first dash.”
• Sneaky Sneakers – “Max throws a lightning bolt. If she reactivates her gadget, or after a brief moment, she blinks back to the lightning bolt and heals any damage taken since.”
  • Buffie Effect: “When blinking back, Max fully refills her ammo and heals teammates near the lightning bolt for the same amount that she healed.”

Additionally, Max has two Star Powers:

• Super Charged – “Hitting an enemy with Max’s Main Attack extends the duration of her Super.”
  • Buffie Effect: “Teammates affected by Max’s Super gain a shield briefly.”
• Run n’ Gun – “Max reloads faster while moving.”
  • Buffie Effect: “Max gains a burst of movement speed when hitting enemies with her Main Attack.”

Brawl Stars Max Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup

Firstly, for Gadgets, we tend to see Phase Shifter get used more often. That’s because it’s a lot simpler to use, makes you immune, and helps you reach your intended destination faster. Furthermore, if you manage to get the Buffie for it, you can do up to 2 dashes, making you invincible even longer. However, we will say that Sneaky Sneakers isn’t bad, but it requires a bit more strategy and you can’t just use it as often.

Secondly, for Star Powers, we like Run n’ Gun because it helps Max reload faster. Since you’re likely always running around the map, anyway, Run n’ Gun is almost always in use. Technically, it also increases Max’s potential DPS, as faster reloads lead to more attacks fired in a shorter time frame. Furthermore, when you equip its Buffie, you essentially gain the same effect you would from Super Charged, giving you the best of both worlds.

Lastly, for Gears, we like to use a Damage and Shield Gear. We tend to recommend these gadgets for most brawlers because they provide both offensive and defensive boosts. Max may also benefit with a Gadget Cooldown Gear if you like using her Gadgets a lot.

Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use Max In (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)

Brawl Ball

Max’s quickness, DPS, and Super make her a great teammate for Brawl Ball. Because she can attack four times, her main attack is capable of severely damaging or even knocking out several foes. Furthermore, once she charges her Super, her and her teammates can take advantage of it for an aggressive push to the goal.

Duo/Trio Showdown

Max is a great teammate to have in Showdown thanks to her Super. Furthermore, she can destroy boxes fairly quickly, though her attack won’t pierce through them. Her quick movement speed, gadgets, and star powers can all give her the edge in combat.

Hot Zone

Max’s Super can boost her teammates’ speed, helping them reach or defend the hot zone more efficiently. While in the zone, the Super can help you avoid enemy projectiles. When you’re outside, Max’s Super can help teammates rush the zone and catch enemies by surprise.

Bounty/Knockout/Wipeout

Max may not have a long-range attack, but she can charge her Super while she’s moving. If she plays smart she can charge her super and use it on her teammates for a coordinated rush attack. However, just try not to be too aggressive with her, as long-range brawlers can make quick work of Max.

Brawl Stars Max Guide – What Mode(s) Should I NOT Use Max In?

Heist

Even with Run n’ Gun, Max isn’t the greatest brawler for Heist. Her main attack just doesn’t deal enough damage to the safe, and her Super doesn’t deal any damage whatsoever. Furthermore, her attack doesn’t pierce, meaning you can’t hit enemies and the safe at the same time.

Solo Showdown

Max’s main attack damage and speed are solid, but it may take some time for her to destroy multiple boxes. Furthermore, she may struggle to survive in the end of a match, when the poison clouds begin to cover the map. A Frank, Shelly, or Damien will have no problem taking Max down in a tight spot.
