Braves announce multiple roster moves after crushing Guardians

The Atlanta Braves cruised to a 13-1 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Sunday. Atlanta ultimately earned a 2-1 series victory and improved to 10-6 overall with the win. The Braves announced two roster moves after the game.

The #Braves today recalled RHP Rolddy Muñoz to Atlanta after optioning LHP Dylan Dodd to Triple-A Gwinnett following last night’s game.”

The Braves have made a number of roster moves in recent days. These latest moves will end up giving Rolddy Munoz an opportunity at the MLB level.

Munoz, 25, has three games of MLB experience, all of which occurred in 2025. He allowed five earned runs across 3.2 innings out of the bullpen. While it was far from an ideal performance, Munoz is still a pitcher with potential.

He had not allowed a run at Triple-A this season across five relief outings before getting promoted. In 2025, Munoz pitched to a strong 2.85 ERA in 41 appearances. He certainly is a pitcher who seems prepared for the MLB level despite his underwhelming 2025 performance in the big leagues.

Meanwhile, Dodd is a 27-year-old who made just one appearance this season before getting demoted to Triple-A. He did not surrender a run in three innings. Dodd also made 28 MLB appearances with the Braves in 2025 and pitched to a respectable 3.60 ERA. It would not be surprising to see him receive another opportunity at the big league level this year.

Overall, this Braves ball club has had an up and down season, but they are still in first place in the National League East. Atlanta currently holds a two-game lead over the 8-8 Miami Marlins. On Monday, the Marlins and Braves will begin a three-game series in Atlanta.
