Bradley Barcola transfer update issued with Arsenal and Liverpool interested

Bradley Barcola’s future at Paris Saint-Germain remains unclear but Arsenal and Liverpool are still lurking.

The France international is starring at the World Cup with two goals and an assist, so far, as they reach the Round of 16.

It comes off the back of a successful season with PSG which saw the winger hit 13 goals and grab six assists in all competitions.

However, as he competes with formidable teammates like Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, and Desire Doue, he has seen his game time diminish.

In June talkSPORT reported that Barcola had informed Paris Saint-Germain he wished to leave the club after just 21 league starts.

He was also only a second-half substitute in the Champions League final, which saw them beat Arsenal on penalties.

Paris Saint-Germain‘s stance is believed to be that the player is not for sale.

However, it seems should certain deals fall into place, this might change and Arsenal and Liverpool are in place to move for him.

Transfer correspondent Ben Jacobs told talkSPORT: “Bradley Barcola‘s situation is still open and I stand by information that I reported last month that if PSG add one or two wide attackers or wingers the then door becomes open for Bradley Barcola to leave.

“Barcola and PSG are at an impasse with contract extension talks so the combination of PSG not being able to extend Bradley Barcola and adding one or two attackers could mean that Barcola asks to leave.

“At the right number, PSG might be prepared to sell even though their starting point for much of the summer has been they would rather keep the player but they want to either keep them on a new contract or they want to keep him if they can’t add other players in wide areas whether on the left or on the right because people like Yan Diomande are very versatile.

“So, that’s the situation with PSG.

“Liverpool and Arsenal are the two clubs to watch.

“Arsenal want Morgan Rogers but Bradley Barcola is also on their list and Liverpool and Bradley Barcola could be a developing story as well.

“He is high in their thinking as Liverpool look to add another attacker in addition to Victor Munoz.

“So, lots happening, lots of dominoes that need to fall.

Yan Diomande latest

It’s understood that Ivory Coast and RB Leipzig sensation Yan Diomande has agreed a five-year deal with PSG.

That’s after Liverpool pulled out of a move for the skilful winger after having a £86.3million bid rejected.

The French giants now have a free run at landing Diomande, which will likely set them back more than £100m.

It’s been an incredible rise for the 19-year-old who back in 2023 was on trial at Rangers.
