Ben Stiller dunks on Dave Portnoy for claiming ‘Cleveland’s celebrity row s***s all over New York’s’

The New York Knicks’ home games at Madison Square Garden are legendary, with a mix of several A-listers vying for courtside seats on the notorious celebrity row. As the Knicks lead 3-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dave Portony had a few choice words regarding the difference between the Cavs’ celebrity row versus New York, which Ben Stiller did not take too kindly to.

Portnoy hopped on X about an hour after tip-off last night (May 23), for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Barstool Sports founder and reposted the NBA X page’s post that showed a video of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at courtside. With this being the Cavs first home game of the series, Portnoy made note to slam New York’s celebrity row.

“And just like that Cleveland’s celebrity row s***s all over New York’s,” Portnoy wrote.

Stiller, who has been courtside on celebrity row for the Knicks as a diehard fan, took the opportunity to make sure Portnoy remembered who is leading the series.

“Enjoy the ECF,” Stiller responded, adding a palm tree emoji, referencing Portnoy’s recent adventures at the beach.

Swift and Kelce’s attendance was a surprise to fans because while they had attended NBA games individually prior to their romance starting in 2023, they had never gone to one together. The two shared in some fun moments watching Kelce’s home team in the Eastern Conference Finals, with Swift passing a stick of gum to the Kanas City Chiefs star and him chugging a beer as he hyped the crowd up.
