Bears’ Jahdae Walker turns heads with highlight reel deep ball catch

Jahdae Walker had some fortunes go in his favor after pulling off a great highlight in the Chicago Bears’ preseason clash with the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday evening.

Walker is preparing for the sophomore campaign of his NFL career. He signed with the Bears in 2025 as an undrafted free agent following the draft, playing sparingly in his rookie year.

Walker hopes to garner more reps in the receiving corps, wanting to participate in an attack that saw success throughout the 2025 season. The preseason was a great opportunity to prove himself for that role, making a great play against Cincinnati.

His highlight took place midway through the second quarter. Quarterback Case Keenum was leading the offense when he launched a 36-yard throw to Walker, who successfully made the catch to get the first down.

How Jahdae Walker, Bears played against Bengals

It was an incredible catch for Jahdae Walker to make in the game. However, that was one of the few bright moments for the Bears as they lost 27-9 against the Bengals on the road.

Cincinnati did most of its damage in the first half, scoring 17 points in the first 30 minutes of regulation. The Bears didn’t have enough offensive juice, going scoreless for the entire second half.

Caleb Williams played a small portion of the game as he split duties with Case Keenum and Miller Moss. Williams threw for 28 yards and Keenum completed nine out of 17 passes for 119 yards. Meanwhile, Moss made 13 out of 21 completions for 103 yards.

Roschon Johnson and Salvon Ahmed stood out from the rushing attack, combining for 18 carries for 78 yards. Maurice Alexander and JP Richardson stood out in the receiving corps, making 10 catches combined for 108 yards.

The Bears will look forward to finishing their preseason schedule on the road. They take on the Tennessee Titans as kickoff takes place on Aug. 29 at 6 p.m. ET.
