Barcelona players reportedly filmed with Tom Holland for new Spider-Man
Tom Holland may be bringing Spider-Man into the soccer world.
According to reports circulating online, the “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” star recently filmed promotional content alongside FC Barcelona players while visiting Catalonia. The rumors gained traction after Barcelona insider Gerard Romero teased Holland’s involvement during a social media update.
“Do you like Spider-Man?” Romero reportedly posted on X. “Tom Holland is in Catalonia today.”
Romero then hinted that Holland had been filming with some of Barcelona’s goalkeepers but stopped short of revealing additional details. The reported collaboration has already sparked excitement among both Marvel and soccer fans, especially with the next Spider-Man film arriving later this summer.
The speculation surfaced shortly after a new teaser for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” hit online ahead of the movie’s July release. While the clip did not reveal fresh footage, it continued building anticipation for Holland’s return as Peter Parker.

Spider-Man rumors continue heating up
The Barcelona rumor was not the only piece of Spider-Man chatter making waves online.
Another reported leak centered around the film’s post-credits scene, with scooper MTTSH claiming it could become “one of the biggest in the MCU,” ComicBookMovie reports. That report quickly fueled theories across social media about what Marvel may be planning next.
One rumor tied to the alleged scene involves the possible debut of Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops, as Marvel continues setting the stage for mutants inside the MCU. Reports have linked actress Sadie Sink to Jean Grey speculation for months, though Marvel has not confirmed any casting details.
For now, fans remain focused on the possibility of seeing Holland mix Marvel with one of the world’s biggest soccer clubs. If the reported Barcelona collaboration turns out to be real, it could become one of the more unexpected promotional crossovers of the summer.
