Arsenal can smash all-time English football record in the Premier League this season
Arsenal have ‘no competition’ in the Premier League title race this season – they’re going to break an all-time record.
That’s the opinion of talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham, who thinks the Gunners could win the league by over 20 points.

Mikel Arteta‘s side ended their 22-year wait for glory in the top flight last season, finally getting their hands on the trophy.
They finished above Manchester City by seven points to win the title, but Durham thinks that margin is going to grow.
Arsenal have spent more than £150million this summer, with another £50m set to be splashed on Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa.
£75m Bruno Guimaraes is going to be alongside Declan Rice in midfield, while Christos Tzolis already looks to be a star.
The fresh additions, on top of their already star-studded squad – while the rest of the ‘Big Six’ are all starting new eras – see them being tipped to do something very special this campaign…
Durham: Arsenal can win title by 20+ points
“It feels like it’s going to be so, so easy,” Durham predicted on talkSPORT Breakfast.
“In fact, on Monday night’s kick-off show, I said that I believed Arsenal would break the record for the points gap at the top of the table at the end of the season.
“They won’t just win the title, they’ll win it by miles. I think it could be a 20-plus points margin.”
He added: “There literally is no competition for Arsenal.
“They were so good last season and they’ve strengthened this season. I can only see one winner.”

Could Arsenal break the all-time record?
If Durham is right and Arsenal do go on to win the Premier League title by 20 points or more, they would make history.
No team has ever won the title by that many points, with Man City currently holding the record margin with 19 points.
City stormed to glory in 2017/18 under Pep Guardiola, winning 32 out of their 38 games and reaching 100 points in total.
They had won the league by April, going on to finish above rivals Manchester United by a record-breaking distance.
Man United are also on the list of biggest-ever winning margins, sitting level with Liverpool, who won the Premier League in 2019/20 by 18 points, just one short of equalling history.
Alex Ferguson‘s Red Devils won the league by 18 points in 2000.

Biggest title-winning margins ever in English top flight
- Manchester City – 19 points (2017/18)
- Liverpool – 18 points (2019/20)
- Manchester United – 18 points (1999/2000)
- Everton – 13 points (1984/85)
- Chelsea – 12 points (2004/05)
- Manchester City – 12 points (2020/21)
- Arsenal – 11 points (2003/04)
- Manchester United – 11 points (2012/13)
- Preston North End – 11 points (1888/89)
- Aston Villa – 11 points (1896/97)
- Sunderland – 11 points (1892/93)
- West Brom – 11 points (1919/20)
Everton are on the list too, winning the First Division by 13 points in 1984/85 to claim their eighth title at the time.
Meanwhile, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Sunderland, West Brom and Preston all feature in the all-time record books for their titles.
The Blues were led to the Premier League trophy by Jose Mourinho in 2004/05, with them coming out on top by 12 points.
Arsenal are already on the list of biggest margins as they were 11 points clear when they tasted success in 2003/04.
Could they end up breaking their own club record this year?
Or will Durham be right and the Gunners go on to stick their name at the top of the all-time history books above Man City?
