Are Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell playing tonight? Fever vs. Wings injury report

The Indiana Fever have been one of the WNBA’s hottest teams over the past few weeks. Caitlin Clark is garnering plenty of MVP chatter while her teammate Kelsey Mitchell is on a hot streak of 20+ point games. They are in prime position to make a deep run in the playoffs later this fall.

Next up for the Fever is a road game against the Wings. Indiana won the last outing, taking advantage of Dallas missing a few key players. But this time, it could be Indiana who is missing a player or two.

Will the Fever have both of their superstar players on the court against Paige Bueckers ang the Wings?

Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell’s injury status vs. Wings

Fortunately, it looks like both players have a great shot of playing against Dallas.

Clark is probable on the injury report with a back injury. She picked up that back injury back in June against the Mercury. It has remained a nagging injury throughout the season, but it hasn’t stopped Clark from putting up some monster numbers. Unless something changes, Fever fans can expect her to suit up tonight.

Meanwhile, Mitchell is also listed as probably with an illness. Indiana kept Mitchell out of the fourth quarter against Toronto on Tuesday. Stephanie White noted that Indiana played back-to-back games in hot environments and did not want Mitchell to get overheated. Her status is one to watch before tonight’s game. But Fever fans should feel optimistic given Mitchell’s probably designation.

Of course, the Wings will be without rookie Azzi Fudd after her season-ending knee procedure. Dallas will also be without Aziaha James, who missed the team’s last game against Indiana.

Hopefully fans are treated to another incredible matchup between Bueckers and Clark on Thursday night.
