Angel Reese reacts to Wendell Carter Jr. playing like her while dominating ex Jalen Duren

Wendell Carter Jr. might have learned a couple of things from Angel Reese.

The Atlanta Dream forward celebrated her boyfriend following the Orlando Magic’s 105-113 win over the Detroit Pistons. The Magic center and power forward averaged 14 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 assists during last night’s game, to which Reese couldn’t be happier about.

“17 REBOUNDS?! who are you feeling likeeeeee,” Reese shared on X.

Reese’s praise for Carter Jr.’s game follows a viral moment when the WNBA star posted a video of her boyfriend dunking on Duren. The former Chicago Sky forward captioned the moment, “GAME 1. PLAY THE SONGGGGG.”

The moment came across as shade towards Duren, as he and Reese were rumored to have been dating back in 2024. The rumors began after they both posted photos and videos enjoying the same undisclosed vacation spot. The Chi-Town Barbie was wearing an all-pink monokini with matching shades she put in her luscious curls.

However, neither of them has ever confirmed they were dating.

On the other hand, Reese’s relationship with Carter Jr. is confirmed as the Magic star confirmed their romance with FanDuel in November 2025 after months of fueling dating rumors.

“Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out,” he shared at the time. “We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure.”

In an interview with Former First Lady Michelle Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, the WNBA star shared why she decides to keep her relationship close.

“I have my own, so I don’t need to be with someone for theirs,” Reese said. “I think it was very intentional for me. I date privately. That’s what I’ve learned over the years—don’t put your business out there. Share what you want people to know and keep things private that you want to keep private.”
