Alex Caruso under fire for shoving cameraman entering OT vs. Spurs

The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs went to overtime in Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals playoff series. Alex Caruso is having a monster game for the Thunder, but is under fire for what he did at the end of regulation.

After the Thunder got a stop to end regulation and force overtime, both teams headed for their respective benches for the impending timeout. Camera crews for NBC followed both the Thunder and Spurs to their benches for a quick look into their huddle before the head coaches sat down to talk strategy. At least, that’s how it was supposed to go.

Caruso pushed the NBA on NBC camera man out of the huddle, which led to an OKC Thunder security guy further pushing the camera man out of the huddle.

It was a completely unnecessary reaction from Caruso, and a lot of fans reacted accordingly on social media.

“Lol this was so unnecessary by Caruso”

“Nah definitely deserves the fine,” said a fan. “That camera pays your bills.”

“I’m sick of Caruso,” another fan added. “He been annoying af this postseason”

“Touching the camera is crazy work”

“Incredibly lame move. NBC pays your check”

Alex Caruso finished Game 1 with 31 points, two rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocked shots in 32 minutes off the bench while shooting 11-of-19 from the field and 8-of-14 from three.

The Spurs ended up winning Game 1 in double overtime behind Victor Wembanyama’s 41 points, 24 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three blocked shots on 14-of-25 shooting from the field and 12-of-13 from the free throw line.
